Bank of Scotland Queen's Hall Series
YSAYE QUARTET
Haydn String Quartet Op 76 No.5
Bartók String Quartet No.6
Beethoven String Quartet Op 132 No.15
Regrettably Gidon Kremer, who was originally giving today's recital in the Queen's Hall, is unwell. The concert will now be given by the The Ysaÿe Quartet.
The Ysaÿe Quartet was formed in 1984 and has a busy international schedule with regular appearances in the US, Asia and throughout Europe including recent concerts at Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris, the Wigmore Hall, South Bank Centre in London, the Musikverein in Vienna and the Philharmonie in Berlin.
The Edinburgh International Festival is extremely grateful to the Quartet for agreeing to step in at short notice.
