How to book tickets
Tickets for Festival 08 will go on sale in April, please see below for details of how to book:
- Online: Find an event using the search facility
Use the Buy (or Going) buttons on the right of the screen, or the 'Book' buttons in the online brochure, to buy tickets.
A new window should open, allowing you to choose the seats you want and buy tickets online. Click the Continue Shopping link to close this window and continue browsing the main EIF site.

Ticket Sales at Venues
During the Festival, tickets are also available throughout the day to personal callers at all Festival venues except King’s Theatre and Greyfriars Kirk. Any unsold tickets go on sale at those venues an hour before the performance.
Ticket Collection
If you do not ask for your tickets to be posted to you, or if you book too close to the performance date, you can collect them from the venue from one hour before the performance starts. Prior to that, they will be held for you at Hub Tickets until lunchtime on the day of the performance, or the evening before for morning or afternoon events.

Customers are advised that, out of courtesy to the artists and other members of the audience, latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance, which may not be until the first interval.
