Matthew Studdert-Kennedy has been appointed to the new post of Artistic Administrator at the Edinburgh International Festival.

This role has been created to support the Festival Director, Jonathan Mills and the Director of Planning and Operations, Alison Riach in planning the Festival.

The role includes assisting with the artistic planning of the programme, programme research and the detailed scheduling of rehearsals in the performance schedule.

Matthew’s previous jobs have included the General Manager of the Hebrides Ensemble, Education Fellow at the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and an assistant lecturer in Music in the Community at the University of Edinburgh. He is also a music animateur and flautist.
