Tickets go on sale to the public this Saturday, 14 April, for the 2007 Edinburgh International Festival.
At 10am on Saturday 14 April tickets will go on sale through the website www.eif.co.uk, in person at The Hub and by calling 0131 473 2000.
Those looking to buy their tickets in person at The Hub, Castlehill, Edinburgh on Saturday should note that queues can start a couple of hours before the box office opens.
On Wednesday 28 March Festival Director Jonathan Mills announced the artists and companies appearing at the Festival this year. Highlights include a new production of Strauss’ Capriccio with Cologne Opera, Alan Cumming appearing in The Bacchae adapted by David Greig, Scottish Ballet performing the world premiere of a new piece by Stephen Petronio, the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra with Michael Tilson Thomas, Yefim Bronfman and Deborah Voigt, and Jordi Savall’s production of Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo. There are also new strands with early evening performances by the best early music performers in Greyfriars Kirk and Jardins Publics, a visual arts commission curated by Katrina Brown.
