For the third year the Edinburgh International Festival and the University of Edinburgh have joined forces to appoint an Edinburgh Festival Creative Fellow. Previous incumbents have been David Harrower and Douglas Maxwell.

For the duration of the year long appointment Stuart MacRae will be welcomed into the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities where he will have a work space and regular opportunities to exchange ideas and thoughts with other members of the faculty. Stuart will be working on a commission for EIF over this period.
