The Edinburgh International Festival has enjoyed a great start to public booking, which opened on Saturday 2 April.

The Opening Concert and the Noh Theatre performances sold out by the end of the day. All is not lost if you were hoping to attend the Opening Concert, there is the opportunity to queue for 50 £5 tickets from one hour before the concert starts.

Online ticket sales were particularly strong and feedback points to the addition of specific seat selection facilities which are newly available.
